Tiffany, my treasure forever

Van is my childhood sweethearts, his father and my father were colleague teaching in the same middle school. Also, his home was just in front of my home. He was 2 years older than me. When we were young, everyday we went to school together and went back home together. No matter where he went to play, he would take on me. We were like peas and carrots. If there were some bad boys teasing me, he would rush in, then they were in a clinch. Sometimes, he returned home with two black eyes. I felt so sorry and cried. He always used his dirty hand to dash away my tears and said,”Yoky is Van’s Yoky. I will protect you forever!” Then we went back home hand in hand. When her mother saw him back home with black eyes and scars, she was very angry and scolded him,” You fight with the bad boys? Why do you fight?...” Van listened to his mother’s accusation, not saying that he fought because of me.

Gradually, we grew up and studied in our fathers’ middle school. Van became a handsome boy and I became a shy girl. We did not play together everyday like we were children. But every weekends, we went to play by the side of the river. One sunny day in autumn, we went to the side of the river. A fair wind came up, the grasses on sands were shaking. Suddenly, he squat down, picking a grass and made it into a ring. Then, he stared at me soulfully, taking up my hand and put the special ring on my middle finger. He said,” Now you wear on my speical ring. So you will be my wife forever. I have heard that Tiffany jewelry is the best jewelry in the world. In the future, when I earn so much money, I will buy Tiffany rings, Tiffany Earrings, Tiffany Bracelets, Tiffany necklaces and many other Tiffany jewelry for my wife-Yoky. You will become the most beautiful and happiest girl in the world!” I was so moved and hugged him tightly.

It was senior year in high school. I was “three goods” student in shool. But he did not perform well in study. In order to attend the university which I liked, he worked hard day and night. Unfortunately, at last, I was admitted to the university successfully, but he failed.

As a result, I studied in a key university, but he was just studying in technological academy. I do not know if he was self-abasement. I found that the times he come to see me was gradually reduced. Once a week, Once a month… At last, he did not come to see me at all. Also, he did not send message to me or call me. It seemed that he disappeared in my life. Everytime I called him or sent message to ask him what happend, he just answered my questions with indifferent tone and then stopped chatting with me. I was badly hurt. Was he still the boy who told me that I was his girl forever? Was he the boy who put the special rings on my middle finger? Was he the boy who promised to buy Tiffany rings, Tiffany Earrings, Tiffany Bracelets, Tiffany necklaces and many other Tiffany jewelry for me?

At night, I opened my drawer and found out the box with that special ring. I stared at it and thought hard about it. Then I made the decision. I would go to his college to search for the answer.

The next day, I dressed up and went to his college in fear and trembling. When I arrived, I dailed his number… He answered the call and was a bit shocked by my visit. He asked me,” Why do you come here? Why not tell me before?” I said,” I just want to see you and I want to make clear about what happened to you. Come out and chat with me, ok? Van?” There was a short silence on the phone, then he said,”Ok. Wait me for some minutes, I will be right there.”

I was so nervous and pressed my cold hands.

About five minutes later, Van appeared. I was so exciting and went towards him with a fast pace. Suddenly, I noticed the cute girl beside him. Van came to me and introduced the cute girl,” Yoky, this is Mary, my girlfriend.”

Girlfriend? I was shocked and stood still, could not saying any words. Van continuted to say,” We have been together for about half a year. She treats me very well, she is a good and cute girl.”

I had an empty feeling in my stomach. I ran out of his college immediately, with big and big tears down.

Five year later, I went to attend Van and Mary’s wedding.

Suddenly, I saw the ring on Mary’s finger, It was Tiffany ring! Van had carried out his promise to buy Tiffany jewelry for his wife, but, the wife was not me!

I dried my tears and went out of the hall.
