【原创】 一个老帅哥的阿拉斯加冒险之旅。

马里奥，是我朋友的朋友。

也在我的亲戚圈里面混。

也算我半个亲戚。

他本是美国的电视演员。哎，艺人啊。

好好的戏不 演，开着摩托车上阿拉斯加探险去了。

像我这样成天琢磨着要打个洋工，练哈英文的人，实在没有他的潇洒劲。

Mario is about to go on the farthest journey in his life via motorcycle- riding to Alaska.  He announced his plans at a BBQ event last week.  As he talked, he showed everyone the path on Google Maps.  I was not surprised to hear him read out some never before heard names.  He pointed to the northern most tip of Alaska and said, “That will be the final place of the trip, I'll then hit back.  The total round trip distance will be 5000 miles."

马里奥正在策划他一生中最远的一次摩托车自驾游——到阿拉斯加去。上个星期，在一次烤肉聚会上，他宣布了这个消息。边说他边拿出他的“爱怕”，用谷歌地图给我们显示了他的行程。当然，他说的那些个地名，都是我第一次听到的。他指着阿拉斯加最北方的一个小点说，“我最后会到这里，然后折回来。来回5000英里。”

Along the way, he will pass through a trail of bare wilderness- no people, no hotels, no houses, and no cellular signals either.  A journey like this must be full of adventure and danger.  I got nervous for him.  I asked him," All by yourself? Just you and no companion?" 

期间，他还要经过一段荒无人烟的地方，既没有旅店，也没有住家，连手机的信号都没有。这样的行程，充满变数和危险，我替他捏了一把汗，便问，“自己一个人？没有其他伙伴？”

I can't help but wonder, one man, one motorcycle, thousands of miles away from home, there would be so many unexpected stories!  He must handle everything by his sole self.  The mere thought drove me crazy.

在我的眼里，一个人骑着大摩托，跑到几千里之外，中间会有多少预料不到的事？一个人又如何应对？这个想法，就会让我感到疯狂。

Yet I know I have no need to worry for him.  Mario sees no risks and is at ease as he can ever be.  We can all tell, he made ample preparations. 

替他担心，显然是多余的。他自己一点也不觉得行程有什么风险。当然，他也准备好了。

He pointed to the attachment on his motorcycle and told me, “This thing is anti-radar; the police will never detect the speed of my motorcycle. 

“我还上网买了一副备胎，寄到阿拉斯加一个摩托车维修点。摩托车开到那里，就会替我换上新轮胎。”马里奥接着说，我想，他更需要一个全新的电池，否则，摩托车开到深山，万一熄火，前不着村，后不着店；没有人来救，岂不是麻烦。

8月19日马里奥说：

Night in Battleford, Saskatchewan, north of eastern Montana. I had spent about 5 hours at Harley dealership in Edmonton getting my new tires on and an oil change. Checked out all the new Harley's...but I don't know, all that status, they just don't appeal to me. The Buell is the opposite of all that...wild. Tomorrow I'll head east on the Trans-Canada Highway, 16, to Winnipeg, Manitoba, 10 hrs. Then 1hr south to the US border.

昨晚在巴特福（加拿大），萨斯喀切温省，东蒙大拿州的北边。我已经花了5 小时的时间在埃德蒙顿哈雷授权车行，换了个新的轮胎和换了机油。 检查所有新的哈雷零件。但是我不知道，在那样的状态下，这些零件配置是否适应我的摩托车。 Buell 刚好跟哈雷相反。明天，我要向着东前行，上加拿大跨省高速公路，16日，到马尼托巴省温尼伯，要花10个小时，哈哈，然后，往南一个小时就到美国的边境了。
